Gary gets another gold star for tonight, over which I’m still laughing in much the same fashion that I still laugh about the Lidgebreaker. If that doesn’t propel this team to some good stuff, I don’t know what will. I think Eck’s slam last year was pretty effective, so let’s see what we can do with 33 more games.

Juan E gets points, but not enough to redeem for a star, for his great D and hustling on the bases.  Yeah, he got an error early on, but he redeemed himself later.

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Gary Bennett and the Giants (Matty Mo variety), we’re now three games over the Reds and seven over the Astros. Yes Virginia, Mark Mulder makes his second start on Tuesday. Anthony Reyes just played with AAA hitters tonight — 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, and 8 K over 100 pitches (77 for strikes). I’m going to try my best to not sob and rock back & forth in the corner.
